DO UT DES FILM FESTIVAL
RULES & TERMS 2020-2021
- Short films of any kind and genre (no video art) produced starting from January 2018 that do not exceed thirty minutes can participate.
- Adult authors of any nationality can participate in the Competition.
- The Competition has three categories in total:

Main Competition: films of any genre (excluding video art).

Music in Short: videoclip; musical; experimental videos in which images interact directly with music.

Remix Culture. Italy - Venezuela Round Trip: films dedicated to the cultural exchange between directors of Italian origin living abroad and directors of foreign origin living in Italy; this year the Competition is reserved exclusively for Venezuelan authors of Italian origin and Venezuelan directors residing in Italy.
- NON-Italian short films participating in the selection must be subtitled in Italian and/or - if this is not possible - in English.
- Up to three works for each author are admitted to the selection.
- Submission to the Competition requires a fee of 10 euros for each entered work. In case of distributors with film packages that exceed the quota of five registered in the Competition, they will be entitled to a discount on the total number of works submitted.
- To participate you must register and upload your work means the Filmfreeway or Festhome platforms, or alternatively, send your work by e-mail to dudfilmfestival@gmail.com attaching a link to the video on YouTube or Vimeo (with any password ), synopsis and biography of the director, and by sending your registration fee to the following Pay Pal address: a.c.900film@gmail.com or by bank transfer to the following current account address: IT15P0521603206000000001629 - to CREVAL Banca Aperta payable to “AC 900 FILM".
- The works received in the first phase will be selected to enter the final phase of the Competition at the sole discretion of the Festival Artistic Direction Committee.
- The notification for the request of the selected material for the screenings of the final phase of the Festival will be made in due time before the Awards Ceremony by e-mail.
- As regards the second phase, the winners will be established by a jury of professionals from the Entertainment and Culture industry and announced during the Awards Ceremony of the Festival. The jury's decision is final.
- Participants authorize the use of part of their works, up to 50 seconds or 10% of the overall duration of the film, for the purpose of advertising and promotional dissemination of the Festival by “900 Film”.
- The organization assumes that the participants have the full right to exhibit and promote the works and material presented and declines any responsibility for the violation of these rules.
- If your film will be SELECTED, the organization will request as follows to be delivered within 2 weeks before the start of the event:

2) Digital HD video format (1080p, H.264, MP4, .MOV) in Italian or subtitled in Italian and/or in English
3) Short synopsis
4) Biography of the director
5) Photo of the director
6) Poster, photos and press kit of the film
Awards:
Best Short Film for the Main Competition (there will be a cash prize); Best Short Film for the Music in Short category (there will be a plaque or artisan sculpture); Best Short Film for the Remix Culture category (In addition to a plaque or sculpture, the winning short film will be distributed throughout the Italian territory for 12 months starting from May 2021); special mentions to the best director and best actor or actress.

Awards Ceremony - April 30, 2021 at the “Teatro dei Dovizi” in Bibbiena (AR). In the event of an extension of the restrictions due to the spread of the COVID 19 virus, the ceremony will be broadcast online in live streaming.

Participants authorize "900 Film" to use their name and address for all purposes related to the event, according to the law in force (n. 2016/679 - GDPR).
​
The short films and other materials sent will NOT be returned, they will remain in possession of "900 Film" and will be part of the Festival archive.
​
Registration for the Competition and participation in the Festival imply full acceptance of these Regulations and for any exception not covered by these Regulations “900 Film” reserves the right to make definitive decisions.

REGOLAMENTO 2020-2021
- Possono partecipare i cortometraggi di qualunque genere (no videoarte) prodotti a partire da gennaio 2018 che non superino la durata di trenta minuti.
- Possono partecipare al concorso autori maggiorenni di qualsiasi nazionalità.
- Il Concorso prevede tre sezioni in totale:

Main Competition: film di qualunque di genere (esclusa la videoarte).

Music in Short: videoclip; musical; video sperimentali in cui le immagini interagiscono direttamente con la musica.

Remix Culture: Italia - Venezuela A/R: film dedicati allo scambio culturale tra registi di origine italiana che vivono all’estero e registi di origine straniera che vivono in Italia; quest’anno il Concorso è riservato esclusivamente a registi venezuelani di origine italiana e a registi venezuelani residenti in Italia.
- I cortometraggi di nazionalità NON italiana che partecipano alla selezione devono essere sottotitolati in italiano e/o, qualora non fosse possibile, in lingua inglese.
- Sono ammesse alla selezione fino a tre opere per autore.
- L’iscrizione al Concorso prevede una quota di 10 euro per ciascuna opera iscritta. Nel caso di distributori con pacchetti di film che superino la quota dei cinque iscritti a Concorso avranno diritto a uno sconto sul totale delle opere candidate.
- Per partecipare è obbligatorio registrarsi e caricare la propria opera tramite le piattaforme Filmfreeway o Festhome, o in alternativa, inviare la propria opera tramite e-mail all’indirizzo dudfilmfestival@gmail.com allegando link al video su YouTube o Vimeo (con eventuale password), sinossi e biografia del regista, e inviando la propria quota d’iscrizione al seguente indirizzo Pay Pal: a.c.900film@gmail.com oppure tramite bonifico bancario al seguente indirizzo di Conto Corrente: IT15P0521603206000000001629 – presso CREVAL Banca Aperta intestato a “A.C. 900 FILM”.
- Le opere pervenute nella prima fase saranno selezionate per accedere alla fase finale del concorso ad insindacabile giudizio del Comitato di Direzione Artistica del Festival.
- La notifica per la richiesta del materiale selezionato per le proiezioni della fase finale del Festival verrà effettuata a tempo debito prima della Cerimonia di Premiazione tramite e-mail.
- Per quanto concerne la seconda fase i vincitori saranno stabiliti da una giuria di professionisti dell'industria dello Spettacolo e della Cultura e annunciati durante la serata di premiazione del Festival. La decisione della giuria è inoppugnabile.
- I partecipanti autorizzano l'utilizzo di parte delle proprie opere fino a 50 secondi o al 10% della durata complessiva del film, ai fini della divulgazione pubblicitaria e promozionale del Festival da parte di “900 Film”.
- L'organizzazione presuppone che i partecipanti abbiano il pieno diritto di esporre e promuovere le opere e il materiale presentato e declina ogni responsabilità per la violazione di queste regole.
- Se il tuo film verrà SELEZIONATO, l’organizzazione richiederà quanto segue, da consegnare entro 2 settimane prima dell’inizio della manifestazione:

Premi assegnati:
Miglior Cortometraggio della Main Competition (è previsto un premio in denaro); Miglior Cortometraggio della sezione Music in Short (è prevista una targa o scultura artigianale); Miglior Cortometraggio della sezione Remix Culture (è prevista, oltre a una targa o scultura, la distribuzione su tutto il territorio italiano del cortometraggio vincitore per 12 mesi a partire da maggio 2021); menzioni speciali al miglior regista e al miglior attore o attrice.

Cerimonia di Premiazione - 30 aprile 2021 presso il “Teatro dei Dovizi”, Bibbiena (AR). In caso di prolungamento delle restrizioni dovute alla diffusione del virus COVID 19 la cerimonia sarà trasmetta online in diretta streaming.

I partecipanti autorizzano “900 Film” ad utilizzare il loro nome ed indirizzo per tutti gli scopi relativi all'evento, secondo la legge vigente (n. 2016/679 - GDPR).
​
I cortometraggi ed altri materiali inviati NON saranno restituiti, resteranno in possesso di “900 Film” e faranno parte dell'archivio del Festival.
L'iscrizione al Concorso e la partecipazione al Festival implicano l'accettazione completa del presente Regolamento e per ogni eccezione non rientrante nel presente Regolamento “900 Film” si riserva il diritto di assumere decisioni definitive.
